No Place Like Home

written 25 June 2013 by Renae’ Harrison

Wouldn’t it be great

to exercise your mind,

indulge in the playfulness of words

with style, rhythm, and rhyme.

A simple thought is where it begins

of imagination and intellect,

Fruitful thoughts transpired from your pen

never a margin to neglect.

It’s playful, intense, passionate, and bold

relevant of ballads, sonnets, and prose,

You’ll laugh, you’ll cry, and think so deep

then crave the connection of profound philosophy,

A private meeting with possibilities unknown

This world I love because it feels like home.
