About

th

Wouldn’t it be great,

to exercise your mind;

indulge in the playfulness of words

with style, rhythm, and rhyme.

A simple thought is where it begins,

of imagination and intellect;

Fruitful thoughts transpired from your pen,

never a margin to neglect.

It’s playful, intense, passionate, and bold,

relevant of ballads, sonnets, free verse, and prose;

You’ll laugh, you’ll cry, and think so deep,

then crave the connection of profound philosophy.

A private meeting with possibilities unknown,

this world I love because it feels like home.

I LOVE THE RELATIONSHIP I HAVE WITH MY PEN! I SELDOM KNOW WHERE MY IDEAS START, BUT ALWAYS ANXIOUS TO SEE THE END!

I dedicate this blog to all writers, especially poets. I appreciate all forms of the art, and th-1look forward to learning new writing styles, and sharpening the skills that come naturally to me. Lyrical Intent will serve as a catalyst for creative writing of different varieties. I’m a fan of Spoken Word because I love the freedom between the lines, and its narrative characteristics. If you have never attended an Open Mic, or Slam Poetry event, I highly encourage you to try – you will not be disappointed. This world is full of talented people, and let me tell you, [you] will submerge yourself in the words because the energy the poet releases is so profound – it will leave you speechless.

I will post poems at least four times per week. However, if the mood suits me, i will post more. I write short, cute, and playful poems as well as free verse, and spoken word. I will also practice writing poems in the following categories:

Allegory, Ballad, Epic, Haiku

Irony, Limerick, Lyric, Prose

Rhymes, Romanticism, Sonnet, Verse

poetry-word-cloud-800Poetry consists of the following elements: theme, repetition, rhyme, rhythm/meter, tone, and style. Additional elements include those applicable to creating any story, nonetheless, it starts with an idea. I will work diligently to enlighten, influence, entertain, and inspire you!

If you would like to challenge me to write about anything specific, leave a comment in the “Reply” section at the bottom of the page – PLEASE LIMIT YOUR IDEA TO A FEW WORDS OR RESTRICTIVE PHRASE.
